All the best to Vinnie who is racing Yeppoon this weekend - hope the current is fast and the roads smoother than they were the last time I was there. Is anyone else from the club racing?

Great race for anyone who wants to go next year. I used the race as practise for IMNZ and did the full change in transition thing. So my swim and bike times include me naffing around in transition getting changed etc. Sadly, no excuses for the run time. My whole race went according to plan and I’m looking forward now to IMNZ.
The swim times were all slow due to us swimming into the current the whole way. The bike course is as rough as ever, worse than Forster. Strangley, I enjoyed the bike leg the most. The run course is great and shaded in quite a few parts. Word is the bike course will be changed next year to include smoother roads with a hill or two and remove the 5 laps course and make it 2 big laps.
The mail is that this race wont become a 70.3 race but could join the Challenge series of races sometime in the future. Whichever way it goes, get on board and have a go, its a good race to do and get away from the southern winter.
Anybody know why Jarrod and Dennis DNF’d? Wondered why they were finished early enough to come out and hang shit on Vinnie, Cam and me.

I would say your mail is wrong. Nick is up to his eyes with WTC with 2 other 70.3 races and a new one on the way. But hey I think I’ve been wrong before.

Jarrod has an injury and never planned to run.

Dennis I have NFI but will ask him tomorrow at swimming.

nope, just wanted to know if you’d heard anything more. The new Geelong races all look like happening so that will be a good thing.

Dennis was crook he thinks he might of caught something off the family, they were all sick just before he left. hard to race up there when your not 100%. We all had a great time up there, tough course but well worth the trip. I turned it into a 3 week holiday taking in the Sunshine and Gold Coasts as well just to keep the family happy so i can continue to spend hours out training each week smile
